Get in TouchAbout Us
Established in 1993 by Lesley Ryland and Moira Brooks, both Fellows of the Institute of Swimming, L&M Swimming Club has over 30 years of experience providing high-quality swimming classes. A team of Swim England qualified teachers support our Woldingham and Caterham swimming club. With free catch-up classes and a referral reward program, L&M Swimming Club has built a loyal community of clients, including second-generation swimmers taught by Lesley and Moira, who personally attend all sessions.
From Our Pool to National Gold
Harry Harriss was seven when he had his first lesson with Lesley and Moira.
It became clear before long that Harry had more in him than a learn-to-swim club can give, so we did what we always do when a swimmer is ready: we helped him take the next step, on to Leatherhead Swimming Club and competitive training.
This summer Harry stood on top of the podium at the Swim England Summer Meet at Ponds Forge — national gold in the 50m individual medley, in a new personal best time.
Not every child who swims with us is going to race for a national title, and that's fine. What every child gets is the same start Harry had: proper technique, real confidence, and a love of the water that lasts. Where they take it from there is up to them.
"Harry started swimming with Lesley and has gone on to win National Gold. It all started with L&M Swimming. His love of the water started 7 years ago with Lesley and Moira. We can't thank them enough!" Alistair Harriss, Harry's dadExplore our advanced classes
